Iranian Journal of Fish Ecology (IJFE) is designed to present a forum for the exchange of information amongst fish and fisheries scientists worldwide. The preliminary aim is promoting explore of ecological aspects of fishes and their environment as a recurring theme in fisheries work. The journal publishes original contributions that cover aspects of ecology of fish taxa including ecologically-oriented studies of population dynamics, behavior, conservation, life history, eco-physiology and integration of ecological studies with all aspects of fish species are also welcomed. Studies involving exploring ecological factors affecting the recruitment and abundance of fish species are also of interest. Theoretical and modeling studies are also suitable if they deal with implications for fish and fisheries ecology. The journal encompasses all fish taxa inhabiting aquatic ecosystems: marine, lakes, rivers, estuarine, reservoirs and wetlands.
